Have you ever felt as if you're running, trying to keep up with yourself? That's what this Autumn and Winter has been like for our family. Needless to say, I kind of fell behind on keeping y'all up to date. Oops!
Anyway, back in Autumn I was privileged to test, once again, for one of my favorite designers for whimsical children's clothing, Big Little. This was such an easy and fun project to make. Designer, Lisa, has an entire line of "adventure-wear" that is great for feeding the imagination.
As with all of Lisa's patterns, the Children's Unisex Cape was beautifully designed and written. Here are a few of the features included:
♥ Sizes: infant to teen
♥ Pixie hood & NEW Classic round hood
♥ Collar option
♥ 3 Lengths: Capelet, Classic and Cloak length
♥ Reversible and can be made as a Rain Cape!
♥ Full tutorial including colour photos with step by step instructions
♥ Super easy: layered, coloured and dashed pattern pieces
Below are my versions of a reversible Capelet with collar (purple and zebra) and Classic length with collar (grey and silver).

Soon after the release of the Children's Unisex Cape, I was also asked to test the construction of the cape for Big Little's Briar Doll. Although I didn't actually make the doll, the cape was simply amazing! Check out the photos of my cape version and the actual Briar Doll (photo borrowed from the Big Little site):
